With how life has been lately, I’ve had a few down days where I find it really hard to motivate and think positive…
I decided to go through ALL of my photos on my hard drive, and really thoroughly organise them.
Going through all of the memories and moments that I’ve captured over the past however many years, I’ve found a bunch of photos that bring a smile to my face!
Lets begin with a memory from last year!
Going on adventures with my family makes me so happy. This photo was taken when my boyfriend, dad, mum and I spent the day at old Hunstanton beach. Every time I go through the photos that I took that day, I remember all of the memories that the four of us made 😊.
My family doggys! Treacle (the not-so-black anymore poochon), has been with us since a pup and she is now 12 years old. Little olive (the mini yorkie), joined our family last year and she turned 5 the other day!
They’re both such happy and content dogs, and they have the same crazy hour every night. I have so many photos of them, but these two my fave.
Friendship is such a big thing to me. I really haven’t had the best of luck with finding someone who just clicks with my personality since I left school… When I started my new job last October I met an amazing, warm hearted and hilarious person! Our friendship hasn’t stopped blooming since the beginning. She has made me laugh so much that I cry, and then my REALLLYY ugly and weird laugh forces its way out too!
I captured this photo on an adventure at Stanwick Lakes with Sam, her daughter and niece.
Anything that I have caught on a film camera always brings a smile to my face. The memories just seem even more special because I remember the process, and the fun of actually setting up the camera and choosing the correct settings.
The photos below are all my favourite shots that I got from the best film camera that I own – Olympus OM2.
Nan’s show their love in so many different ways. Mine is always honest in her advice and there for me if I ever need her. I took this photo soooo many years ago when we had a BBQ in our garden, with my mum’s sister and her family who live in America and came to visit.
My mum and my dad. Growing up I’ve had my ups and downs with my parents, but I wouldn’t change them one bit! They’ve always supported me and helped me out with anything and everything.
I took both of these photos of my parents as I wanted to capture them doing what makes them happy. If he could, my dad would fish Christmas day! And my mum is who got me into photography as its her hobby as well!
Being on holiday. I absolutely love going abroad! I adore the surroundings, the heat, the relaxing vibes… I would live abroad if I had the opportunity. A couple years ago my boyfriend and I went on our first abroad trip together. It was 100% the best holiday I have ever been on. I could describe it with every positive word, and I still wouldn’t be able to find the word I’m looking for to describe how this photo makes me feel.
My two family cats! Peppa (the one on the left) sadly isn’t with us anymore, but she was my fluffy friend growing up, she followed me around everywhere! I love this photo of her because it reminds me how crazy she would go for Dreamies! She loved them like the cats in the adverts 😂.
Honey (the one on the right) is still going strong, she’s 15 this year! She is quite a miracle cat really – When we got her (however many years ago), we was told she would only last a few weeks as she was very weak and had been through a lot of trauma… but here she is today still purring from waking up to bedtime, and meowing for milk anytime she hears the fridge open.
The last and final photo that I found is one of my boyfriend – K! This boy means so much to me! Not to be too gushy butttt…. this isolation has really proven to me how much I need him in my life, and can’t wait to see him and to spend time together again ❤.
Have you got any specific photos that you can look back on and they always bring a smile to your face?
Stay safe ❤.
